As always your videos and blogs are a good and informative read....thanks

Question is that if you are not towing and therefore no A frame to securely bolt the rim and tyre to be reseated...

then is the BANG so large that it needs to be secured?
Or done carefully lying flat out in the open supposdly safely away from other gear and people ("apart from the volunteer match thrower")....will it / does it shift much?
Or on reflection maybe done under the towbar tongue with a hydraulic jack holding it down?

talking Landcruiser size rim etc here

curious on these scenerios

Thanks

Good day Bungarra we [her indoors] and me did the butane trick at well 33 csr with a stubborn 19.5 oka tyre and rim just laying on a small tarp on the ground it leapt about 3inches in the air I should mention that the tyre and rim weigh close to 80kgs but I probably used a little more butane for this unit than you would for a normal 4b tyre and rim

cheers Dave

Thanks David......3" is still quite a lift for that weight!....and I guess you cannot always guarantee that the lift will be all evenly straight up if the butane sprayed is a little uneven

will be interesting to see what Mick says...

I am sure one wont always be able to have situation where all is bolted down.......

Hi
Check out thread 81095 showing Micks latest tyre reseating.

The tyre doesn't seem to be restrained in any way.

Cheers Teza
